The beautoful floral Bealtaine was an Irish festival celebrated in Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man. Bealtaine and Samhain were the leading terminal dates of the civil year in Ireland though the latter festival was the more important. The flower festival survives in folkloric practices in the Celtic Nations and the Irish diaspora, and has experienced a degree of revival in recent decades especially with people looking for flower delivery. Such an ancient festival in Ireland was held on the central hill of the navel of Ireland, one of the ritual centres of the country. It has beautiful flowers around it and made it an attractive site to tourists. the festival in Ireland hangs flowers on the doors and windows of houses and the erection of May Bushes in farmyards. |
