Donegal Education Centre summer course –
promoting intercultural education through drama with ict
This summer course promises to offer teachers a week of practical, fun and accessible activities which can be easily transferred to the classroom setting. Participants will be introduced to two traditional stories from Japan and Africa. There will be an opportunity to explore the issues raised by the stories through drama.
Complimenting the drama activities will be practical ICT workshops for beginners. ICT software programmes will be used as an engaging assessment tool to demonstrate to teachers how, through self-assessment, children can respond to and reflect on their drama experiences.
When: Monday 6th – Friday 10th July inclusive
Where: Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey
